Finishes: Bonded, SST & STX
Thread Construction: Twisted Multifilament
Application: Used in furniture, automotive trim, footwear, and other products that may require good abrasion resistance and seam strength.

  • Light: T-16, T-21, T-30

  • Medium: T-45, T-70

  • Heavy: T-90, T-105, T-135

  • Extra Heavy: T-210, T-270, T-350, T-400

Advantages

  • Excellent abrasion resistance.

  • Very good seam strength.

  • Consistency in diameter.

  • Superior strength to other thread constructions of equal size.

  • Consistency in physical characteristics.

  • Good chemical resistance.

  • When bonded, very good ply adhesion.

  • Very good sewability.


Comments


  • Melts when temperatures exceed 480° F.

  • Chemical resistance is not as good as polyester.

  • Ultraviolet (UV) resistance is generally not as good as polyester.
